I came in on a Friday afternoon in the hope of scheduling some preventative maintenance on my nearly 36 year old import car's electrical and fuel delivery systems, fully expecting to have to wait at least two weeks for the work to begin. Instead the work was scheduled for the following Monday, with the increasingly difficult to find vehicle specific parts ordered so they would be on hand that Monday. The parts arrived on time and the work was completed by mid-afternoon on the scheduled Monday. This was at least two weeks ahead what I have come to expect in the rapidly growing Charlotte, NC area. Impressive.

Patrick, Dana, Greg and the entire staff were beyond phenomenal throughout my car crisis this past week. I cannot thank the team at this location enough for genuinely understanding my concerns with my car and the abundance of patience theyโve had while I work things out on my end. This Woodieโs Auto location and the one in Rock Hill, have earned a lifetime customer!

I was recently at Woodies auto service and Im very disappointed. I went there to have my headlight, taillight, tire monitor light, and windshield washer button was not working. Also ask for a tire rotation, when I arrived I discussed with the tech what I wanted. The price was 331 dollars which I agreed to. When I came back to pick up my suv all that was done was a headlight bulb replaced, tire rotation and a diagnoses. The main things I wanted fixed (taillight and tire monitor) they said they couldn't repair. That was fine, I can understand that, what I dont understanding is why I still had to pay 318 dollars for the items that was not done. I guess that's the way Woodies does business. I was wondering how they had so many location. Now I see.

I would not recommend woodies. I brought my car in after my car wasnโt starting and I had to mess with my battery terminals to start the car to take it anywhere. The power steering also went out. My carโs issue was the positive battery cable was corroded and needed to be replaced. Just the cable. The part was $370, but they charged $600 for labor that took less than a day to complete. They also did a diagnostic of my entire car which was not asked for. I came in just for my car not starting and told them where the issue was occurring. They did not take the $160 diagnostic fee off because apparently the diagnostic took an hour to complete. Usually other mechanics will take off the fee if you do the work with them. I believe I was completely overcharged. Fyi I called the Honda dealership later to see their cost and it was the exact same as woodies. If you want to pay that price, go the Honda dealership instead.

We brought our 2021 Volvo XC60 here because we could not get the car to come out of park regularly, and the transmission was not shifting properly. The crew there did a thorough inspection and found there was significant water in the rear cabin and under the driver side floor. They tried everything possible to get the car working properly. The master mechanic spent hours with it, and they brought in a computer programmer to attempt a full reprogram of the software. They were able to get it running enough for me to take it to the dealer. The communication from the team, especially Dana, was wonderful. When all was said and done, they apologized for not being able to fully solve the problem and ensured the charge for the work was aligned with the progress they made. These folks are honest and caring. They even asked for me to keep them informed about what ends up happening with the car just because they are curious and they care about their client. We need more people and businesses like this in the world.
